About Kelly Eddington
Kelly Eddington creates large, highly realistic portraits, still lifes, and landscapes using the most unpredictable, unstable, and unforgiving medium known to man, watercolor. Her palette is bold and bright, and she delights in creating objects that are shiny, reflective, colorful, and difficult. Some of Kelly's contemporaries "own" certain subjects such as Ball jars, peonies, or musical instruments. In Kelly's quest to find original subject matter, she has ventured into antique jewelry, marbles, candy, and glass gems. She likes to create intriguing juxtapositions within her paintings. Occasionally the arrangements of her objects help to tell the stories.
