About Faith Evans-Sills
Faith's approach to painting is intuitive and personal, she works to transform the public world of nature into a place of private knowledge. She draws inspiration from nature’s wild and small moments: mountains, moons, clouds, flowers, rain. Using these recurring motifs she speaks to the relationship between the ephemeral and the eternal. Faith paints quickly and in many layers using acrylic and mixed media, creating washes, embracing drips and other happy accidents reflecting nature’s unpredictability while building up layers, texture and pattern. She is a lover of bright color, drips, unbridled expression, pure freedom, and unapologetic happiness. Faith is a believer that there is beauty in just about everything, and that anything worth doing takes time.
