We are surrounded by the water of the great oceans on this beautiful planet. And water, chemists say, is the most corrosive substance over time. For print after print, you can see the weathering and bleaching that water has visited upon a variety of tree trunks, branches, and roots. Notice the fine-grained detail that results when the crashing of the surf, and the burning rays of the sun, turn dead plant life into works of art.
