About Janie McGee
Janie McGee’s love for creating art began one summer on a project at the University of Cincinnati. She worked 10 weeks in the Harriet Beecher Stowe House creating mosaics depicting the Underground Railroad. That life-changing experience set a flame in her spirit to create images that tell the story of Blacks’ struggles and triumphs in America. Her art is both whimsical and expressive in texture and form. It is storytelling through expression!
