Odilon Redon

Born in Bordeaux before moving to Paris, Odilon Redon specialized in oils and pastels to create his rich body of work that contained still life and religious paintings with overarching symbolism. Redon’s paintings became popular when a novel about a man who collected his drawings was released in 1884, bringing Redon into the spotlight.
