The Anchorage Alaska Temple held its groundbreaking in April 1998 and expanded in 2003 to encompass nearly 12,000 square feet. It sits in front of the Chugach Mountains, which create a picturesque background. A notable part of the Anchorage Alaska Temple is its Celestial Room chandelier that’s made with Hungarian crystals and weighs 700 pounds.
