About Cardston Alberta Temple
The Cardston Alberta Temple is one of the oldest standing temples and the first to be built in Canada. It was originally dedicated in 1913 before being dedicated again in 1923, 1962, and 1991. Due to delays caused by World War I, construction took 10 years to complete. The Cardston Alberta Temple is known for its painstakingly beautiful details including murals, hardwoods, and more which were all restored in a renovation process that began in 1988.
