About Kirtland Ohio Temple
The Kirtland Temple was last dedicated in 1836 by Joseph Smith, Jr. and is located in Kirtland, Ohio. It offers an amazing view of the Chagrin Valley and is operated by the Community of Christ. The temple design came from a detailed revelation received by Joseph Smith, who was a prophet. It suffered some vandalism after it was built but renovations in the late 1800s helped restore it to its original condition.
