About Oklahoma City Oklahoma Temple
The Oklahoma City Temple is the 95th operating temple and was originally dedicated in 1999 by Rex D. Pinegar. It was dedicated again by James E. Faust in 2000. The exterior is made of white marble from Vermont and the temple was the first to be constructed in Oklahoma. The temple was viewed as a sign of hope for many Oklahoma residents who suffered through tragic events and disasters in the state in the years prior.
