Julia Purinton is a fine artist and muralist who paints landscapes that resonate with her own emotional and psychological experiences. She paints atmospheric and moody landscapes and cityscapes using acrylics, oils, venetian plaster, and glaze. Viewers of Purinton’s art are drawn to the images through a recognition of the feeling of a place and connectivity to the world. Before studying art at Harvard College and the School of Fine Arts in New York City, the artist grew up in Virginia and Pennsylvania. Today, Purinton splits her time between Washington, DC and rural Vermont.
