An ectoparasite, biting or chewing lice have mouthparts that are designed for chewing, not sucking, and they can feed on hair or skin scales. Adult females lay their egg cases with in the animals hair by cementing the egg case to the hair shaft. Magnification: x22 when shortest axis printed at 25 millimetres.
