Bixby Bridge North

Item # 2888228

Michael Kent Lynberg

A California native, Michael is an acclaimed landscape and seascape photographer who uses some of the same tools and post-production techniques as matte painters and concept artists at today's movie studios. Through his dramatic and impressionistic works, Michael aims to share the beauty of the California coastline.

Built in 1932, the Bixby Creek Bridge adds a sense of enduring stability to the wild and untamed beauty of the Big Sur coast. Highway 1 passes over the bridge, which rises 279 feet above sea level. In this artwork by Michael Lynberg, a storm has cleared, and a distant sunset adds warm tones to the rugged cliffs and clouds in the sky.
