Buildings Housing Reactors, Chalk River Project, Ontario

<p>The first reactor to operate outside the United States is at the chalk River Project in Ontario, and the three reactor buildings are shown above. the Low, white, wooden building (lower left) houses the reactor set up in 1945, and the large, brick building at right houses the reactor which went into service in 1947. The large building in reaar of the group contains the newest of the reactors, which is now under construction. Beyond the buildings are the Ottawa River and the rear Mountains.</p>
