<p>Paul Colin (1892-1985) As an artist, Colin's distinguishing Art Deco style and flair for the dramatic quickly spread with his famous poster piece "La Revue Negre". This poster advertised show entertainer Josephine Baker (who also happened to be Colin's mistress), and successfully jump started her career. Commissioned by the Theatre des Champs-Elysees, Colin continued to design many theatrical posters, and sets for the entertainment industry, including many for Baker.</p>
