12″ × 18″ Stretched Canvas Print
About the Artwork
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001) - Item # MG0080984
The fifth (and last) in Smith's series of movies with ties to Red Bank, New Jersey, is a road movie as the boys go after Miramax studio (which is producing the film) when it makes a movie based on the comic book characters that are based on them without their permission. It makes more sense (and is probably more enjoyable) if you've seen Smith's entire ouvre. Besides Jay (Mewes) and Silent Bob (Smith himself), many of the characters and jokes are from Smith's previous movies. Subplots and detours abound for our heroes, allowing Smith to effectively parody and lampoon recent summer blockbusters, his own stars, and Hollywood in general.
