<p>London to Sydney Motor Rally. This was organised in 1968 jointly by the Daily Express and the Sydney Daily Telegraph for a top prize of .10,000. Of the 98 cars which began the rally almost half of them fell out on the way becoming wrecks on the mountains of Afghanistan or crashing on the Kyber Pass. The winner was Brit Andrew Cowan.</p>
