Scott Jarvie

Scott Jarvie grew up in the San Diego area and loves to travel with his camera by his side. His collection of photographs include Mormon Temples, each one lovingly captured during his excursions around the United States.

The Los Angeles California Temple was dedicated in September 1951 and March 1956 by David O. McKay. The temple itself is more than 200 feet tall and faces Santa Monica Boulevard. When it was constructed, it was the largest temple in the Church. Since then, the Salt Lake Temple has taken that title. It is one of only five temples to have the angel Moroni statue holding gold cards.
