Outside The Alley

Andy Crawford Photography

Andy Crawford is a photographer from Louisiana. Whether sloshing around in his home swamps, hiking in the Smoky Mountains or traveling through the Southwest deserts, Andy enjoys seeing these beautiful places from different angles. His goal is to capture photos that communicate the beauty around him and transport others to an emotional place where they feel the wonder that he feels.

The live oak trees of Louisiana's Oak Alley Plantation form a tunnel along the outside of the iconic alley wiith sweeping limbs that arch to the ground. Oak Alley is a beautiful antebellum home built in 1837. Interestingly, the famous oak alley predates the grand old home, having been planted in the 18th century. Oak Alley is designated as a National Historical Landmark, and "Interview with a Vampire" starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt is among the movies filmed at this gorgeous old plantation.
