<p>Javanese artist Aricadia joined Sanggar Bunga-Buinga Bali, an artists' community where he began to explore his skills and freedom, combining realist and impressionist techniques on canvas. This resulted in a style of painting featuring a contrast of colors that are sharp and wild.</p>

<p>With head in hands, a man is distraught. Red paint flows like desperation from his hands, or perhaps like the blood of his lacerated emotions. Aricadia paints a dramatic portrait in vivid color. 'Where did you hide Adam's rib? He laid it in Canaan with the dry body Because the memory of the separation with Eve Hurts more than the separation itself,' the artist says.</p>
