Eleanor Doughty is a Seattle-based illustrator and urban sketcher. Sketchbook in hand, she travels her neighborhood and foreign countries the same way, pen in hand, eyes up. She lives with her partner in an apartment by the lake with 60 houseplants, give or take.

One of the best loved pieces of architecture of Seattle, the Smith Tower was at one point the tallest skyscraper west of the Mississippi. Its pyramid top is instantly recognizable in the skyline. The artist painted the full building as well as the surrounding block. Lose yourself in the tiny details at street level!
