Ursula Abresch's unique photography style can be classified as photo-impressionism, which allows for the abstraction of subjects; it makes it possible to express feelings without having to say a word, and to put down thoughts, dreams, and fleeting moments in time. She plays with color and uses it almost as if it were the subject itself.

Abstract image of a willow tree in New Denver, British Columbia, Canada. The image was made in late Fall, after all the leaves had dropped from the willow. The image was made using the ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) technique, used in this case to simplify and intensify the shapes of the trunk and hanging branches. The color were intensified in post-processing. Ursula Abresch Abstract Trees Collection
