Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec

The works of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864 - 1901) celebrate life as only a dedicated observer can. His body of work includes haunting depictions of marginalized groups, including dancers, crooners and Parisian brothel workers. He imbues each painting with energy and humanity borne of intimate, thoughtful observation. Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec suffered from genetic disorders, but that did not limit his ability to create art that resonates. Working with business owners engaged in entertainment, he produced posters and prints reflecting the excitement and grit of the times. Wall art inspired by the Moulin Rouge series and Toulouse-Lautrec posters of the era recap 19th century urban life in Paris.
